The car indeed was upgraded to a then-current 2000 engine, turbocharged, and equipped with water injection and a link to retard the timing when the boost went up. I recall much of the time they ran the boost capped to 15 lbs... Yes, that car was very fast... When I last saw the car, both Jim and I lived in San Carlos, California. I moved to the Portland, Oregon area about 16 years ago, and have had no contact with the car since moving. <<< Ed: Jim Ashton seems to have passed away in 2009.
