Also see 1) below

? - early 1978

Wes Gilpin

Dallas, Texas, USA

Probably acquired the car from David Smith (unconfirmed).

Early 1978 - Early 1983

Rocky Chisholm

Yorba Linda, CA, USA

Acquired the car from Gilpin
Car was blue when purchased, 1600 twin-plug engine, no cooling slots in bonnet
Repainted the car red
Vintage raced the car from 1979 through 1982
Late 1982: had the nose painted yellow and with a black band at rocker panel height.

1) Mr. Chisholm recalls having been told by Wes Gilpin that Mr. Gilpin had acquired the car from a US Service man who brought the car over to the USA from Italy.
This could very well be the above-mentioned David Smith but this would need confirmation.

Early 1983 -

The Netherlands

Acquired through Pieter Boel from Chisholm.
Had the nose modified with 3 GTO-style cooling slots
Raced extensively.
Restored.
Registered KB16GS on August 3, 1983
Entered the car in countless events, amongst others the 1988 Coppa Italia

Vintage 1950s 1960s Zagato lapel pin

Here we have a genuine and vintage 1950's / 1960's Zagato logo lapel pin made by OMEA.

As visible in the photos, it does have some loss to the white cloisonné.

The overall height of the rear tab is roughly 19.5 mm (0.75 inch) with the logo measuring some 14 mm (0.55 inch) in width and 11 mm (0.43 inch) in height.

The rear of the tab has been marked by the manufacturer, OMEA of Milano Italy, including their logo and even their address: V. Albani 20.

A rare find that simply oozes patina and character!

Only 1 available.
