Mr. Ventimiglia

Palermo, Italy Second Owner.
The former owner's son is trying to locate his father's car!
Giovanni Ventimiglia writes in December 2008:
The car 1600jz #3060140 was bought new in Genova in 1973 and the original color is Silver.
My father bought the car from the first owner in Palermo in 1976 (we live in Altavilla Milicia at 20 km from there).
One year later my father gave the car to his cousin and one hour later the car got an accident on the exit of the highway down to our town, the guy hit a streetlight with the center - left of the car.
It was wintertime and the car was to fixed in a body shop in Palermo.
At that time they left the car outside in the wind and rain for 6 month because they received the wrong side of the spare parts.
The result was that the car was ready in 1978, the color was changed to red and the fuel tank got rusty but I loved that car when I was a little kid.
In 1979 my father exchanged the car for an Opel GT 1900.
My father kept the documents and the title of the car.
The car was left at a car dealer in Capo d'Orlando at 100 km from Messina for other couple of years, who never completed the change of the title and the change of the license plate, as was required by the law at that time.
The dealership sold the car to a guy from "Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto" a little town next to Messina in Sicily who also never changed the title.
In 1983 my father was contacted by an officer of the "Guardia di Finanza" (which is a kind of police that investigates tax matters) to pay a parking ticket for the Alfa Romeo, in Saint Vincent in Italy, close to Switzerland.
My father said that he hadn't heard of the car since 1980, but he had to pay anyway. After 15 days the same officer came again and he said to my father that the car was stopped at the border with Switzerland.
My father thinks that that the car must have passed through the whole of Italy and the customs without any documents, title or insurance and nobody stopped the car.
For 3 months my father tried to contact the guy from "Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto" without any results but in 1984 they contact us because a their cousin in Switzerland paid all the tickets and wanted to buy the car.
My father went to Messina to do the changes required but anyway my father kept the Italian documents because they didn't need these anymore because the license plates were sent to Palermo police office due to the affair at the Swiss border.
Where is this car now ??????????

The car is in restoration in Lausanne.
I bought the car in 1996 and newer drove it, left it stored in a Garage until the end of 2009.....!
This January I begun with the restoration and thank the informations from the former owner i made the decision to change all the parts damaged in the accident.
The Zagato in now painted in his original color "Grigio Zagato mettalizato".
The mechanical part will also have a complete restoration.
I hope, the car will be ready in Spring or summer 2011.
