1989 Alfa Romeo Zagato ES 30 Press Kit in English

!
1989ES30

This is an original 1989 press kit, issued at the 1989 Geneva Motorshow to announce the then-still prototype of the ES30 which would later turn into the famous SZ.

The kit consists of a hard back portfolio (covered in black linen) which contains 1 booklet and two fold-out "brochures".

The portfolio measures some 30 x 27 cm or 12 x 11 inches.

This complete set is in English (!).

Very scarce (but if you own a SZ, you probably know that already).

Good condition but now being some 25 years old, it does some signs of ageing and the covers are slightly warped.

Only 1 available.

1919 was the year in which Ferrari began driving racing cars and Zagato founded his couchworks, and from that moment their paths were to cross on several occasion.

Every time Zagato got his hands on a Ferrari chassis, even without the official blessing of Maranello, he succeeded in building a beautiful car.

Even today these “Ferrari by Zagato” are shrouded in a certain air of mistery – not even the coachworks possessed documentation.

This book has bridged the gap.

Photo of Marinoni - Guidotti - Mille Miglia 1928 - Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 SS Zagato.

This is a photo from the Alfa Romeo historical archive that has apparently been used in some kind of publication as it carries a number of typical "printer's references" on it, front and back.

Both Attilo Marinoni and Battista Guidotti were experienced Scuderia Ferrari members and drove the relatively light Alfa Romeo 6C1500 Sport Spider Zagato to a 4th place overall.

Their team mate Giuseppe Campari (the would-be opera singer!) secured the overall victory for Alfa Romeo and Ferrari in a similar car.

The cars, 6C 1500's, were especially prepared by master engineer Vittorio Jano.

Dimensions: approximately 6 x 4 inches or 16 x 11 cm.

Good condition but several handwritten notes and very slight damage to the top right corner.

It is a relatively recent print from the Centro Documentazione of Alfa Romeo.

Only 1 pc. available of course.

The creative talent of Ercole Spada and the historic coachbuilder Zagato combined in 1965 to produce the Lancia Fulvia Sport, a sleekly aggressive coupe based on the floorpan of the Fulvia Coupe.

This charismatic car, manufactured in the mid-Sixties and available with 1200, 1300 and 1600 cc engines, is the subject of this invaluable book that analyzes its development through various versions, to each of which is devoted a specific technical dossier.

There is of course a section dealing with the Fulvia Sport’s racing career and the book concludes with a chapter on the Alfa Romeo Junior Z (1969), also designed by Ercole Spada and produced in very limited numbers through to 1974.

1 set of genuine steel Alfa Romeo GTA and JZ 1300 wheels

!
GTAjWheels

1 set of genuine steel Alfa Romeo GTA wheels.

A VERY scarce set of "survivors", this is a genuine set of steel wheels as originally supplied on the Alfa Romeo GTAj Stradale.

Most of these wereof course quickly swapped for ally wheels and the original steel ones were often simply binned...

Early in 1970, Alfa Romeo decided to also use this type of wheels on the JZ 1300 as well but again very few survived.

This set was manufactured by Fergat in size 5.5J x 14.

Production months are (also see picture):
2/68
4/68
4/68
4/68

Although the dates indicate that this set predates even the conception of the JZ, these wheels are of the correct type for the JZ1300.

Only 1 set available.

Please contact me by email HERE if you would like to acquire these wheels.
